Milan Exhibition: An Inspirational Annual Visit from Wooden House:
The Milan Exhibition 2024 took place from April 16th to 21st, 2024, at Rho Fiera Milano. The “White Milano” exhibition is one of the most relevant and dynamic events promoted during Milan Fashion Week, serving as a global intersection for companies and a platform to showcase new trends.
Like every year, Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the owner of Wooden House, visited the Milan Exhibition as a step to explore the trending global designs and incorporate them into local designs in Kuwait.
Key Design Projects Participated in 2024:
Massimiliano Brizzi, the founder and artistic director of the Milan Exhibition, stated: “It is clear to everyone that we are going through an important moment of change, and we, as a group, are more focused and committed today to the strategic development of projects, in line with these changes, not just to achieve big numbers. And I hope Milan seizes the opportunity to keep up with and understand this transformation to become an undeniable European fashion capital.”
Several successful projects were highlighted at the exhibition, including:
- “Secret Rooms”: Five hidden rooms presented by various global talents of the new generations, showcasing their collections in spaces prepared according to their brand vision.
- A selected group of Spanish designers presented through a multi-year collaboration with ICEX España Exportación and Inversiones. The involved brands belong to different product categories ranging from ready-to-wear fashion to accessories.
- The Korean Business Sales Platform, Kfashion82, launched in May 2023 and is operated by the globally renowned multi-department store, Shinsegae. Its purpose is to introduce emerging brands and new talents to the fashion forefront.
The wooden house in Kuwait is ahead of the Italian designs of Milan
Abdulaziz Al-Nasser mentioned that one of the highlights of the Milan Exhibition was the wardrobe rooms designed behind the bed in the bedroom, a design that the Wooden House has executed for years for numerous clients, showcasing the skill and futuristic thinking of the company’s designers.
Discussing the future of design in Kuwait, Al-Nasser said, “The furniture industry in Kuwait is relatively advanced and follows global fashion trends, but with significant and continuous technological advancements, it will be necessary to integrate technology more into designs to continually meet the requirements of the local and international markets.”
